My quarantine thoughts
The third and final topic of looking at the world’s projects deals with the origin of COVID-19 (My TED TALK topic). When I knew about my topic, I started gathering evidence related to the topic and either some comments from my Ted talk’s project. Finally, I realize that doing the blog with the same structure, would be so monotonous and that's why I made an infographic with things that have happened to me in the confinement related to COVID-19 and some my reflections through my guiding thread called ‘Globalization’. I think that showing a piece of evidence of my confinement is trying something different from the other evidence from previous projects. In this post, we can observe the timeline which I have done with the CANVA’s program, jointly with the photographs that made me think about the subject. Then, my thoughts are presented at the bottom of the infographic.
12/03/2020 TWITTER ANNOUNCEMENT
That was the last day we went to college. It was at lunchtime when they give us the news that we would not be back in class by two weeks. At that time I was not enough aware of what has happened in the last months. Until now, I had not considered that COVID-19 could directly affect us in Catalonia, which was an external problem. But now I am more aware that globalization and communication between countries have been the main factor for this virus to reach our home.

17/03/2020 COLDPLAY'S CONCERT
In this confinement, the culture sector has been the one that has been most affected due to the global pandemic. So many artists, through social media, started doing small concerts at home while people were watching them by Instagram live. I saw a live performance of Coldplay, a band I've always loved. This group, like many others, has done tours and concerts internationally. In other words, it made me think about how globalization has impacted the world of music, allowing all the concerts that can be done around the world. With COVID-19 this has had to stop.
1/04/2020 ONLINE CLASS
Due to COVID-19, all education, training, and universities have adapted to the new situation through online classes. No one was ready to take classes and assessments via webcam. This fact is related to globalization, not related to the definition that we know, but to the globalization of the Internet. This has allowed communication between people who are in different places, being faster and as if there were no distance between people. Here we can observe an advantage related to the Internet’s revolution, I mean, it allows us to continue learning at the time of COVID-19. However, with this thought, I would like to bound up to an important topic of our ted talk called Infodemic. The negative side of the Internet revolution in communication between people and countries is Infodemic. We can define it as the set of false news, rumors or hoaxes which aim to create controversy. This is more common with social media, but it falls within the concept of Globalization on the Internet.

12/04/2020 GUITAR INSPIRATION
April 12, two days after my grandfather’s died of COVID-19. This is a different and personal reflection, but I wanted to share it through this blog so I could raise awareness about the pandemic and relate it to our purpose with aim of changing the world through our Ted talk called ‘Origin of COVID-19 '. I wanted to put up this photo because the guitar was the only distraction to be able to bear the pain caused by my grandfather’s death. I couldn’t see my family, friends, classmates… so I grabbed the guitar and started spending a whole day making songs.
With our TED talk, through all the theories about the origin of COVID-19, we want to make people aware of our section called ‘How to prevent a global pandemic through the theories of origin’. With my direct experience with COVID-19, I want to reinforce the idea of making people being more aware of the high degree that affects us. Therefore, I want to make it clear that despite contagions are no longer massive, the virus is still present in our daily lives, and we must be responsible for our actions and their consequences.

22/04/2020 FRIENDS MEETING
This evidence is similar to the one before which I have explained about the online classes, but this one is about a night when we stayed with friends through a video call. At first, it was strange to do virtual hangouts, but due to COVID-19, the only way to see us was through a camera. This made me reflect on the great revolution that communication between people on the Internet has generated. Nowadays it is very easy to connect with friends with the simple fact of giving a ‘click’.
