Conclusion
And we come to the end of this journey of reflection on everything that has happened to me day by day during the first year of my degree. We’ve been able to see all the evidence I’ve gathered and I think they’ve all been able to show us what I proposed in the introduction.
Globalization has been an important point among all of the evidence because if it does not exist, any evidence does not make sense. With the first images, I was able to conclude that everything around us comes from outside. I have been looking and it is very difficult to find products that are 100% close. What about the homemade product? The primary sector in Catalonia? Honestly, I have never thought about it, but thanks to being able to deal with these issues in class, I was able to change the ‘chip’ and pay more attention to the aliments which I eat and where they come from. All food communication is obviously globalization. Because of this, if I wanted I would eat a tropical fruit from the other side of the world with the simple step of going to a supermarket. Then, I thought if food is transported to different parts of the world, maybe if this had not happened, this is to say, that we consume only local products, then COVID-19 would not have come from these ways. In my honest opinion, it would have come the same but not in the same way and maybe we would have been more prepared.
Globalization directly affects people's movements around the world. Through the evidence made on the second project, I have concluded that the migrations in time of COVID-19 have become more difficult and it has more obstacles than before of the global pandemic. Yes, migration continued, but as we have seen, the United States banned the entry of immigrants, and the United States is a great world power where many people, especially from Latin America, go in search of a better life. This individual work has shown me that food from the other side of the world matters more than people from other countries.
Finally, I have presented my reflections of my day by day life in confinement. I think these reflections have the same importance as the previous ones. Even though they are a bit more personal, they have contributed a lot to my growth within this subject. COVID-19 has been very important and relevant in this work, despite the bad situation which it has been hard, has made me think and work with myself.
I have completed fulfilled my main goal of this job, to grow and observe everything that happens around my life, knowing that this happens for some reason. Up to this part of my great journey training me as a teacher. This is only a small part of the biggest one.
